The discovered check also resulted to a double check which was indefensible.

Well done, reminds me of what I learnt from the oldest member of my club "no one has ever won a game by resigning"

I have very little respect for that. People should learn to resign.

You deserve very little praise, if any at all.

Are you saying Razoman should have resigned and missed the chance of winning?

Even if winning is hopeless, (which it definitely was not in this case!) one still may have a chance of at least forcing a stalemate, which is better than a loss!
I very rarely resign in any my games.

Why, yes, yes I am.

I very rarely resign in any my games.

Again, that's nothing to be proud of.

You lose a pawn or a piece, you can still stand a chance. You lose a queen after six moves, let's face it, your future is presumably a bit darker than a few moves back. It's respectful to resign, and it is disrespectful not to resign in such a blatant losing position.

I'm not saying resigning is going to give you the most points. But you surely won't get much sympathy if you're going to do like you say you do (in correspondence games on top of that), and you surely shouldn't brag about it, because it's absolutely nothing to be proud of.

Finally, I'd like to point out that you're not even rated 1400. People rated your rating make mistakes, and don't seem to understand when they're lost. razoman on the other hand has a pretty good rating. He should definitely know better.

Of course, as it turns out, it ended "well". But let me ask you something: does the fact that you won a single game out of luck make you any better? Phrased another way: is your true "talent" affected in any way by this kind of game?

Another interesting question, which might answer someone's try to justify themselves using a clumsy reason such as "my rating would have lowered down!! (pleonasm, by the way)": does your rating affect your talent or your talent affects your rating? My point is that, in the long run, you're going to end up with the same rating, no matter which path you choose.

Considering this, don't you think you're better off choosing a path that isn't aggravating people? Because for every one game you can say "see, I made the right decision by not resigning", you probably have a thousand other games where you lost -- no surprise -- and wasted your opponent's time (and your own too, although I tend to doubt you have anything better than that to do, quite frankly, seeing your obsession with stalemates).

To sum up: This is a thing that you can do but shouldn't for the many reasons listed above.

Nicely played. Black certainly helped you with so many queen moves... usually attacking one undefended piece/pawn that could be defended.
