When he moved the queen to c5 thats when I decided not to resign. And then I set up a counter attack.

Black depend on its Queen too much, maybe he/she underestimate the opponent after he/she caught the opponent's Queen and try to use the Queen to eliminate other pieces.
Single strong piece can't win against teamwork of weaker pieces.

I still haven't learnt that lesson ... that pawn looks so tasty... oops

I think its natural or instinct for the human brain to relax when it sense victory and conversely becomes ferocious when loss is near. This could be a good reply to signeur.
