Hello all,
To celebrate the first anniversary of this site I will be hosting a Swiss System tournament open to all rated members (established and provisional). The tournament is now listed on the tournaments page, so feel free to go ahead and sign up anytime during the next month.
For those who don't know Swiss System, here is a quick list of differences when compared with Round Robin tournaments:
- all players play all rounds, nobody is disqualified until the end (with a few exceptions)
- you play only one game per round
- as you win or lose games the system will pair you with players more closer to your strength in next rounds
I will be updating the About page with the rules of my implementation of the Swiss System tournament before the tournament begins.
The start date of the tourney is June 4th.
