Miguel:

The Swiss system implies that starting from the second-third games, the level of the players is equaled. being this way, would not it be better to dispute the tournament of 7 - 9 beats, to play with more probability with players of your same level, and that the winners and are the departures would be equitable?

It is very difficult to find the right number of rounds. If you have a small number of rounds, then at the end you will end up with several of the best players tied at the top position because they never had a chance to play against each other. If you have too many rounds then the last rounds are more complicated to setup and players end up having to play opponents from different score groups just because they already played against all who are in their own group.

I think for up the numnber of players that signed up until now 6 rounds is a good number. If the count gets to 200 I'll add two more rounds.

I have tried to join this
event, but can not. Is this
because I am UNRATED? I will
have a rating by June 4, but
how many games must I be done
with by this date?
