Again, much thanks; I will endeavor to accomplish this quaint requisite post haste.

Hi Miguel. I'm trying to figure out how long this tournament will last. Let's assume:
- 6 rounds. - for pairing purposes, next round will be started after all games in the current round are completed. - an average game takes up 30 to 40 moves. - there is at least one (1) player playing at a pace of 1 move per week for each round.
Then the projected tournament duration will be:
6 * 40 = 240 weeks (more than 4 years) ?!

Duncan,
Your estimation is a bit pesimistic, it is rare that a player will take a week to make a move, it is more likely that it will take 1 to 2 days on average. If we assume an average of 2 days per move then the estimation goes down to 6 * 30 * 2 = 480 days or 1 year and 4 months.
Now if you think that there's going to be about 150 players in this tournament, then running a complete tournament in a year or a bit more feels pretty fast. At least to me.

SÃ, pero son 2 dias por jugador, no?:30jugadas* 2 dias * 2 jugadores * 6 = 720 dias : 2 años. A mà ya me parece bien, pero es la posibilidad optimista? Para qué las prisas ?
