Except for a few matches with my family and friends a very long time ago, I never played chess outside the internet, and never in official matches or something alike.

So I was wondering what would my FIDE rating be if I had one.

Does anyone have any idea on whats the relation beetween Queen Alice ratings and FIDE ratings?

I envite the members of this site that have FIDE ratings to post them here aside their Queen Alice ratings, so that I can calculate the relation (assuming this wasnt made before).

There is no relation between them!
Even all chess-sites handle different systems.

The Elo-Rating system is complecated, and too much to post overhere.
Its better to have a look yourself.
The link to de FIDE Elo-Rating system is;

For Correspondence Chess, there is a official rating as well, and also titles. The CC ratings and titles are awarded by the I.C.C.F., International Correspondence Chess Federation.
You can subscribe, get yourself a player/membercard and play officialy rated games.

Here is the link to ICCF,
for how the rating systewm works, to subscribe, and for all kinds of information.

Well although there is no direct relationship one may try to estimate the difference. For QA ~2000 players (like me) I think their Elo would be some 300-400 p. lower. For lower rated players the difference could be even greater, but this is difficult to say as there are virtually no FIDE ratings lower than 1600. For higher rated players I have no clue. Obviousely one must remember that OTB and CC are two completely different things and bad OTB performance does not preclude good CC performance. Moreover when considering low FIDE ratings(but not only)there may be some variability between countries....

You certainly can Inaki.
But for every site you need to calculate different.
Example; I have to fight very hard to keep my rating between 1950 and 2050 overhere, but on Netchess after just 60 games I got already an easy 2168p. So, what is that worth?

Somebody did compare already once QA ratind vs. Elo, and came to the conclusion that 2000 at Queen Alice is about 1630-1650 Elo.

And about FIDE rating. For sure virtual ratings under 1600 do excist. In fact more then there are above 1600. With a rating of 1600+, you are a good (far above average) clubplayer!
Well, the average and the less then average clubplayers get their Elo-ratings as well, Inaki,

Yes they do exist, but due to mechanism of obtaining the FIDE Elo there are very few players rated below 1600. 2 or 3 years ago the lowest possible FIDE Elo was 1800. Now it's 1401. Most of the ratings below 1800 are not FIDE Elo but national Elo, and they do not correspond well one with another. And one more thing. A 1600 player is not a far above average clubplayer, I would place the average line at approximately 1800 - at least here in Poland.....
