Indeed; she looks like a real talent.
Another problem with the provisonal system is that if a player mishandles their time in their early games and defaults, they take a long time to reach their true strength on the rating system.
Having said that, I suspect that some people hang around the middle of the system deliberately for reasons best known to themselves. I know of one player rated below 2000 who has seventy wins (nearly all by proper play) and about twenty losses on time. I won't name him because it might be a genuine misunderstanding about how to use the vacation scheduler; or a problem with his ISP.

Well, I often check out my opponents games. I have hit quite a few provisional players with rankings still at 1500 even though their first 10 or so wins are against 2200s. If they lose their first game/s against a top ranked (also provisional) friend, then they are ranked 1300 or below, and unless they beat some minnows next up they stay low for ages.
