If the game was really important, then why resign after a couple of moves, only because someone has delayed in making a move.
If one has a real love for chess ... a true passion, and desire to play ... It certainly doesn't make sense to resign.
If one is bored with Chess only after a couple of moves is just someone I just couldn't bring myself to play, and I have played some characters in my day....
