I don't know why so many people play Nxc6 in the sicilian. (well, I suppose it has it's uses against the accelerated dragon). By move 8 black has light square strength and an unchallenged pawn centre. white has by way of compensation a lead in development (ready to castle) the light bishop is not really developed on e2 though due to the black pawns. 11 g3? I don't see the point of weakening the kingside. What about c4 or something to challenge the centre? 12 Nc3? If the knight is going to move then isn't Nd2->b3/f3 aiming to support the central dark squares more helpful? 14 Na4? an unstable location for the night as black shows
The way whites made the pawn structure in the opening suggests looks like white should aim for a fast centralisation of the rooks (half open d/e files).
