Does this server support Chess960?

Ha, and welcome to the club!
No, I believe this site does not support chess 960, but our ever-helpful fellow forumites will soon point out a site that does, or help you in digging out an old thread with such information.
That said, standard chess can be fun too, at times...

What then is the "Position" field for when setting up games?

Onceupon wants you to know that this has already been asked numerous times on the forums, that you should search it from Google, and that setting the position is okay for an alternative, although there's a problem with castling.
