Yes. 27.Bxg8 secures the game for White.

Yes, they'd both transpose to the same tradedown. Personal preference would be to go with queen takes to avoid having to check that Qg6+ doesn't actually have any real threat, but then that's because I suck at tactics ;-)

I don't think there's any real danger for White's King and 27. Bxg8 Qg6+ allows him to threaten the e-pawn.
