Took me a bit to see that 26 Kh2 doesn't help either (QxQ RxQ RxR RxB leaving white the exchange down)
didn't like 10 dxc which weakens e5 and leaves the bpawn ugly (both of which black uses)
13 Bxd7 also seems a bit strange giving up whites good bishop

25...Rd1+ is the simple deflection tactic.

Notice the "simple". If it weren't of whyBish, nobody would care about your error-prone games.

a) he is about my level
b) I miss many of the tactics that he uses
