aloha dear members, as my knowledge of chess goes not far beyond of moving the pieces here's my question: i got a game where my opponent got me in a chess situation, i got only one place to go, there he can give me another chess, so i have to move back and so on and on and on... i thought i remember that he's only allowed to do the same move three times, is there a rule like this? cause if i only get to a move on my own, i'd have him down in a few turns. so, how is this handled usually?? (for people who want to take a look at my situation, it's the game: Amistosa 07) Thx for any hints...

It is not appropriate to discuss a game in progress.
But as to the rules for a draw, if the same position with the same player to move occurs three times, either player may calim a draw by repetition of position.

Hello: I've having a look at the game. Well, you have now only one place to go and if your opponent and you repeat moves, then any one of you can reclaim the game as a draw.
So, it is NOT than a player is not allowed to repeat a move 3 times, as you say, but the rule is that after having 3 times the same position, any player can reclaim a draw (and the other one is obliged to acept that draw).
I hope having given you some help.

Yeah, I saw your game. He kept checking ya all over the place. Your opponent was sergiogvh and don`t tell me that is isn`t. It is not a draw cause you didn`t move your king on and out from the same square on every move.

that is not the only way to draw jaychess.....
If a pawn is not pushed or exchanged or piece is captured for 50 moves, DRAW
The king moving back and forth is the quickest way
