If you agree to play a game at seven days per move, you have no right to complain when people take seven days to make a move. If your opponents aren't moving quickly enough to keep you interested, play some more games so you still have something to do while waiting for your slower opponents.

richerby is right of course but I have to admit that I sometimes get annoyed when I see someone deliberately taking the full time while playing other games every day. That's fairly rare though.
Send them the notification and even a message if you think it's intentional foot-dragging.

How do you know what their motivation is? I move quickly in positions that don't require much thought and more slowly in positions that do. I often don't have as much time for chess as I'd like, which means I often spend five to seven days waiting for an opportunity to think enough about a position.
That's not 'intentional foot-dragging' — it's taking care over my moves.

Sure ... the email reminder (after 3 days) system is there for a reason. If you want to make a point, send it. What's the other player going to do? They can't go slower!
I played one person that took 7 days for every move in three games while playing others each day. I suppose he may only have looked at boards that were due. I made the mistake of accepting those games with that person and will never play them again. In other cases, you find players that will play much speedier until they get in trouble and then they use full time from that point on. I would be very happy to see 1d/move tournaments implemented. Then I wouldn't need to make the assumptions that richerby frowns upon.
