I've never had a smart phone; my employer (defense contractor) didn't allow camera phones, let alone anything more. But they've changed the rules, so I'm considering a Droid X. I tried one at the Verizon store, and it did not seem to want to load Queen Alice's site. Of course, I'm totally new at it, so I may not have been doing things correctly. Does anyone here have experience with this? I would really appreciate some input. Thanks.

I have had difficulty seeing the board when I used a smart phone, but I was able to take a vacation day. The phone was borrowed so it may have been my limited smart phone skill.
I often use a net book comp. It is much better to use a full size screen.

I think it has somethings to do with Java. Try searching technical forum for it, ie. "running Java on Droid". QA works on my Java-preloaded model (not Droid).

Try an ipad.

AFAIK QueenAlice doesn't require java; javascript though (which is different) is thoroughly used for the board behavior and the think mode, but I would say - though I'm no Smartphone wiz - that most smartphones run javascript out of the box. Btw, QA works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S.

I use Queen Alice at iPod Touch and the site opens like in a PC. To see the board in full screen, I have to use the zoom function and the scroll buttons.
It's annoying, but it works.
