What kind of chess set(s) do you own?
First off. I confess I like the staunton pattern best. I have no antique St. George sets or anything like that but I have indulged a bit. here are my top 5:
1. House of Staunton Imperial Collector in rosewood
2. House of Staunton Parthenon in ebony
3. House of Staunton Collector in mammoth ivory  (just kidding about the ivory!!  I wish!)
4. Old 1940's quirky french set which I just bought in mint condition for $45.00. The knights have glass eyes.
5. Old english set that was my Dad's This old, well used, well loved set is the real treasure. The set I learned to play the game with.
