Gambiteer,

It is important to note that you did not claim that Bergman uses any of those programs. I showed GM L. Yudasin a game I played aganst Bergman and he found errors for both sides.

The issue is not is he a better resource. I claim he is an additional resource. The programs you mentioned are not free. QA is free. Also there are advantages to playing a human. It is difficult to evoke an emotional response from a computer. Computers are playing at a FIDE level above 3000. Is there anyone on QA that can beat Fritz at full strength. I think I can improve to USCF 2200. If I become a USCF master I will be good enough to ocassionally beat Bergman. I dont think I will ever beat to beat Fritz. A motivated student is a better learner. The possiblity of winning helps motivation.

And then we think about, It's just a game. He can Be Magnus Carlsen on his own, he will die and become dust. It's a fact. He's still better than you? There would be too much stupidity for a man to challenge a person that do so... There are several other people who are strong too, as cazzo and another guy from Jamaica. They lost no games... Happiness and peace. This is all that should remain in human's heart.

I wish that it would be obvious to everyone if your claim is true or false. I think there should be super elite tournaments. These tournaments would be limited to the top 50 and everyone in the top 20 would be required to have 10 super elite games in progress at alll times. When their total fell below 10 they would ato-matically be entered in the next super-elite tournament. If someone in the top 20 did not move in these games they would forfiet and lose rating points. this would continue until they were no longer in the top 20. This would clarify who the top 20 active players are.

I don't see why anyone should be forced to play games. People don't become public property just because they're at the top of the rating list.

Dave.
