Yes Miguel does deserve a great deal of praise. I believe I have said that before but now is a good time to say it again. However he makes decisions that I disagree with. In my opinion he should have cancelled the fewest number of games. I was in the finals of some open tournaments, better to reincarnate an opponent that I already beat than to totally wipe out my opportunity to win the last round of a tournament.
The most important thing is what I learn from playing these games. I have improved enough in over the board play to go from 1803 USCF to 2012. He can cancel the games but he cant cancel the experiance. For example I last week I finished a game 90 uscf quad with me, amaster an expert and a class A player. The ef was $20. first $40 second $20. I beat the class A player drew the expert and the master. Assuming the Master vs class A is not a draw I win $30. If the master and class A draw I win 40. This tournament was not an aberration. In the past year I have paid about 300 in entries andd won about $300 in prizes.
Not only were my 2500 games on QA free, now If I select tournaments with prizes below $300 I win often enough to cover my entry fee. In a sense Club tournaments even the lowest level USCF Grand Prix events a free for me now. And I really enjoy playing USCF events.
I owe Miguel a great deal of gratitude

I realize he couldn't have helped it but I lost all seven of my games.. some of which I'd been working on for almost a year. Well I guess i can gain those rating points down the line

I am astonished at this. Who told him to cancel? Does it feel right to kill all qualifications and all work in tournaments especially Anniversary 6? Beside this it wasn't so easy to get tournament games with cunha and others. All killed.
