I think you meant an even number of games would be good becuase you want to post an equal number of games with white and black.
recently there has been less than a page of open games.
I think 8 games per person is a good number

50 games devided by 8 is 6,25
That means only 6 players and a little could post open games. As a Pfy.-teacher you should realise that. But I agree with Elafsson, it should be an even number of games, to make shure you play b&w in tne same amount ofgames. So, or 2, or4 games each player.

Before someone creates an open game (s)he should look into the open games list and try to take an open game.

Lately there has been less than 20 open games availible. If there are 20 slots open does it matter If I am using 8. In an earlier post I explained the perfect solution. If I have 2 games posted and you try to post 2 games your first game would take priority over my secon game and if necessary bump my 2nd game off the list. My bunmped game would reaappear when the games ahead of it were selected.
Naroc. a sensible suggestion. However the title of the game is important to me and some players. I think that the same game coul have 2 titles. In your list of games the title you selected. In my list of games the title I select. If I post a game with the same time control that you posted an you are in the rating range we should automatically be paired.
I like to post positions from an endgame book I want to practice. Once I get the fen right I want to post several games at once. It is a haassle to recreate the fen multiple times. Say I want to practice the position 5 times but can only post 3 games. Another reason why games I want to post should be part of my space and miguel's computer posts one of my games when it is my turn.
