Physicstutor, there was an analysis of former world champions done a while back where it took all of their moves and compared them with the best move suggested by (Fritz?), then took the cumulative error. I can't remember who ended on top but the commentary was something like there is doubt that this is valid methodology as computers are poor at strategic thinking, but may be more valid as a mearsure of the world champ with the best tactics.
