I was born Dec 31, 1965. i learned to play chess Dec 30, 1969. I became interested in chess becuase my older siblings played chess. My older brother, May 12,1959, New who fischer was in the late 60's. Fischer played a role in his interest in chess and he taught me.

40 years ago today? Really? Cool! Today is my son's 40th birthday! I didn't know him back them (my wife's son that I adopted), but that will make the big match's date easy for me to remember.

I remember it well! Did not shows... Bugged chairs and brilliant chess....when Fischer did turn up and play! Spasky was not bad either!

Just watched "Bobby Fischer Against the World". So brilliant, yet such a nut-case. Nutty mother didn't help. Very sad.
