Em alguns jogos que disputei aqui no Queenalice fui alertado por meus adversários (de maneira muito educada, não estou questionando isso...) que não é correto persistir em um jogo que já "está perdido", e que esse comportamento poderia ser interpretado como infantil e/ou pouco profissional.
Em alguns jogos que persisti, mesmo com uma desvantagem, consegui empates (não necessariamente por mérito meu...).

Em alguns jogos é chato quando o adversário desiste após perder a Dama ou uma Torre logo no começo do jogo... nem ao menos tentam uma virada...
Qual é o correto para vocês?? Persistir, mesmo que isso pareça chato para o colega, ou desistir e começar outro jogo?
In some games I played here in Queenalice I was warned by my opponents (in a very polite, I'm not questioning that ...) that is not right to persist in a game that already is "lost" and that this behavior could be interpreted as child and / or unprofessional.
In some games that persist even with a handicap, I got ties (not necessarily merit of my own ...).

In some games it's boring when your opponent gives up after losing a rook or queen early in the game ... do not even try ....
What is right for you? Persists, even if it is annoying to the colleague, or quit and start another game?

Generally I will resign whenboth of the following conditions are true:
1. I could win easily if we change sides and 2. I am sure my opponent knows how to win from the current position.
There are exceptions. If I have already been eliminated from advacing to the next round I might resign to get my in progress game total below 50 so I can register for a new tournament.
If my rating is 2180 I might postpone resigning any games until my rating is over 2200 sign up for an elite tournament then resign all my hopeless games.

I think that if you are sure that your opponent can win, it's better you resign, but if you see de possibility to draw it's better you persist in the game if your opponent is annoyed this is him's problem. In the chess game a bad situation can change in better in every moment...  Bye! Ciao!

Nos torneios de elite o pessoal deve abandonar um jogo perdido , pois demonstra com isso que sabe quando o rival está melhor e não se pode ganhar ou empatar um jogo perdido , mas entre os principiantes é comum se perder peças e ainda assim virar o jogo ....

Eu considero que este site serve somente para treinamento.Então pq desistir?Enquanto tiver alguma chance,é lógico que devemos continuar para melhorar as análises em arremates e de repente podemos sim encontrar um recurso salvador.

Bem, isso depende do contexto... Em jogos isolados tendo a desistir quando em desvantagem razoável. Em torneios continuo até não ter mais jeito...
