When I went to peru I came down with strep throat. I was not able to make it to Machu Pichu. If Magnus has not been to india hi immune system may be vulnerable to pathogens it has not encountered before.

MrDJRVD do you know the tie break. If they finish tied does Anand retain the title.

On second thought this is not an issue for Olympic atheletes so there is probably little danger that he will get sick.

I am going to vote for Anand to win ... not just retain his title!

It would be good to know the particulars of the match. How many games? tiebreaks etc.

Those who support Carlsen probably believe he will win becuase he is higher rated. If the only thing we consider is rating and statistics Carlsen odds of winning are extremely high.

It is not so easy to guess the reasons Anand supporters would give. Not that it is impossible that he will win. There are logical reasons to believe anand will win. I hope that those who believe he will retain his title will explain the advantages he holds.

I think A has the advantage of maturity and it may turn out like the early stages of the first Karpov v Kasparov match. Not saying it will, but I don't think C is "odds-on"!
