How do I get the FEN to work correctly? What I mean is how can I post a chess position so that it will show up here on line?

your fen notation is correct.
You need to preface fen notation with "[invalid fen]" Dont type the quotation marks.
Before fen notation put fen inside brackets [_ _ _] after the fen notation put fen and a slash inside braackets [/_ _ _]
If I type the letters instead of the underlines QA inturprets everything inbetween as an invalid fen notation.
