I've added automatic tournaments to the site. These are tournaments that start automatically when a certain number of players sign up to it. When a tournament starts a new tournament with the same conditions is created.
For now I defined an auto-tournament for 6 players in groups of 3 and with no rating restrictions. If there is interest to have tournaments on a certain rating range please let me know.

Miguel, once you are happy this is working ok, is there any chance of you offering auto-tourneys with 7 days per move as well?

Yes, I actually didn't think much about time controls when I created the auto tournament, but I agree that it makes more sense for these smaller tournaments to have slower times. I changed the second auto tournament to 7 days, all created after it will also be 7 d/m.

how about a rating range of 1800 and above for one tournament and 1800 and below for the other

No problem. I created an auto-tournament exclusive for 1800+ players. I set it up to start when 6 players sign up, depending on the interest it generates I may decide to increase or lower the number of players.
For now I'll leave the other auto-tournament open to anyone, assuming mostly players rated below 1800 will join. But I'll see how things go and make changes if needed.

Now that you have tournaments that run perpetually, is there any need for the brown star by the tournaments menu?
