Which class tournament should I be allowed to play in? I have had considerable success playing in Master tournaments here on Queen Alice. However I did not log in for a while. I lost all my games. Now my rating is below 1700. I can’t play in Master tournaments but I can play in Intermediate tournaments. I imagine many players in the intermediate tournaments joined hoping to avoid players at my level. However If I was permitted to play in Master tournaments those players might bemoan risking mega rating points from a play with 50% chance of winning. Both groups have a reasonable complaint.
The larger question is, what is the best way to deal with the rating issue. My opponents deserve their rating increase for the win on time. But my current opponents risk their rating against someone who is grossly under rated. This assumes I don’t disappear for a couple of months again.

Why not challenge players with a rating of 1800 - 2000. After a dozen or so games you should achieve a rating suitable to a player of your calibre.

I belive that if you will play 2 or 3 Auto-Open-tournaments you will get your real rating queeckly...

You did not answer my question directly. I did not intend to ask for advice. However you did answer the question if you intended to write.

I should not be permitted to play in class tournaments until I challenge several players rated near my former rating or

I play 2 or 3 open tournaments.

The personally challenged opponents have a chance to avoid me if there rating is a priority. The poor open participants have no protection against playing a grossly under-rated opponent.

What are the rights do players you wishes to avoid me until my rating equals my talent?

Physie, have you been drinking? "What are the rights do players you wishes to avoid me until my rating equals my talent?"

You do bring up a valid point, though, however ungrammatically. I have lost way too often to people with ratings below mine, but whose rating is only that low because they lost a ton of games on time, and their "real" rating is well above mine. I don't know what the solution is, but it is definitely unfair.
