I've been using the site for a while now, and recently joined a local club to try and improve. I've started looking at openings and improving in this area. I'd be interested to hear back from any of you on your thoughts on preparing openings. Do you have a special, perhaps esoteric, opening you try to lead your opponent into, or do you concentrate on the main lines? Do you think it's worthwhile study openings, or is it more important to play lots of games and gain experience in tactical play?
