Miguel,

The proposed changes to the annual Swiss tourney sound reasonable. IMHO, although these changes may not be perfect, it'll definitely be an improvement over the current format.

Just to say that I agree with Duncan's point of view.

I would recommend using the "Modified Kashdan System" from USCF rule book. When the round should be over, you ask the players privately if they are trying to win or draw. If they say they are trying to win you give them 1 point and if they are trying to draw 1/2 point(for pairing only). If they both state that they are trying for a draw then the game is officially ruled a draw. You normaly have one player trying to win and the other trying to draw. The game continues and the result of the game is the official result. This makes pairings more accurate and prevents a player playing slow to avoid a harder pairing the next round.

Hello: I think time is approaching for the second Aniversary Tournament, isn`t it? Well, only to say to Miguel that I'm sure that the second one will be a big success.

When should it begin, please? Thanks.

The tournament will begin in June, registration will begin pretty soon!
