I am playing this tornament and I saw this games:

I agree with you, it would also appear that the players concerned are from the same Country however one must realise that there might have been a reason why the draw was offered and accepted, reasons that are not known to us.
It is not very good for the rating pool for players to di this sort of thing though But I am sure we must first find out why these players drew the games.

the good thing about the draw is that it was done before the round is over or any game has been decided within that bracket which means that this will not influence the result for the next round so the next players who will advance will still have a stake on who will advance depending on their match against the two.
However, this set-up might also be pre-positioned assuming that they win all their games so both of them can advance to the next round.
I think this also happens in OTB but rarely do you see it this early.

Yes, I already saw many players doing this on OTB tournaments... And in many cases they do this in profit to another player...
Maybe as you said this is not the case here... And if that´s the case, I am really sorry...
Anyway, I still think that a "moderator" should ivestigate this...

I dont know what Miguel can do in this. But those players have no excuses. This is just sad thing that they do to CAISSA..
And they have no respect from us to them as a real players with dignati and honor in the sport of chess...

Like some people creating a second account. They lose to this new ghost player, and the ghost gets 400 points above the cheater. The cheater then plays, and wins several games against the ghost and inflates his own rating. This is a hard to fight disease, a cancer, in online chess
