What movement do you think is more agressive, d4 or e4. I mean king's which one offers more agressive options in development.

e4 is generally a sharper line. ( I've just read that in a book so it must be true, though I don't as yet know what "sharper" means ).

I tend to like e4 better, because it leads to a quicker castling. I know you ask about attack and I'm talking about defense, but I thought I'd share my opinion anyway.

I tend to like e4 better simply because I don't like dealing with the potential of queens coming in to play too early.

e4 has always been the strongest line for most masters. Fisher used it extensively. However, one of my favorite openings is Nf3. It allows me to build my house quickly and gives me a chance to determine what my opponent is going to do. This is called the Barcza Opening (for Gedeon Barcza) if you want to do some research.

I agree, 1. Nf3 is good because it can lead to so many things. For example 1...d5 can lead either to Queen's Pawn openings with 2. d4 (QG, Slav, Semi-Slav) or to a Reti with 2. c4 which can be either very open (2...dxc4) or very closed (2...c6 leads to a Slav). Similarly if Black plays 1...Nf6 you can get QID, KID, Nimzo-Indian or QG. Or if Black plays 1...c5 you can transpose into a Sicilian with 2. e4.
