Very sad news.
One of my very first chess books was Bronstein's 100 Open Games. He never gave up his passion for the game. I think he more than any other GM enjoyed the depth and beauty of the game for its own sake.
In his later years, Bronstein was very active against computer opponents. He will be greatly missed.
