Does anyone know where I can get a set of games from players rated under 1500. I want to create an opening book personality on Chessmaster or Fritz closer to human play - even into the middle game. I hate when the computer makes a silly mistake that a human would never make.
I tried downloading some games from other sites I belong too, but it would take me years. Why can't a site offer a database of all the games played so that I can do a search for a particular opening and rating? I can import the games into the opening book editor and add it to a personalty closer to my rating - not 500-1000 rating points higher. Just thought I would ask. Thanks! Let me know when someone creates a chess engine that plays more like a human for lower rated players...

Ooopps! I meant players under 1900, not under 1500. Lets just say 1300 - 1900 specifically.

Well joseph, I dont know which chessmaster ur using , I have chessmaster 10000 and the battle is never easy.Actually they have tried to approximate the real time situation, so that u
dont have the feeling of playing agianst wall, i mean emotionless.
As for as ur database is concerned, here till now we dont such have search option.For creating such a database u need to go to players profile having rating 1300-1900 one by one and then u can download their each page (25 games)in .pgn format one after the other.
