What is the 'Bank' in Time controls?
|

Extra time that can be used through the game. If you play at, say, three days per move and with fourteen days `in the bank', it means you can miss your move deadlines by a total of up to fourteen days over the course of the game without losing on time.
|
|
|
The Bank should not be used to delay moving in lost games. It exists to prevent players from losing on time should unforeseen emergencies (such as the Taiwan earthquakes last December) precent them from accessing QueenAlice.
