Topic: Time limit on moves

I have a game running (the only one I'm playing) at 3d/m. Why does my opponent have a 'Time Left' of 4d, 16h?! I haven't received any notice or message which might explain a time extension.

i have looked once at it for you normaly you should see that he is on hollyday until 19/02. The hollydays are aded to your time left so that is the reasen he has more then 3 days left greets,gamelover

Thanks gamelover. I am surprised this happens without any notification to the opponents, however.

When your opponent is on vacation you see a beach ball icon next to your opponent's name in the board page. You also see the same icon in your My Games list.

Thanks for the info - I've been off QueenAlice for quite a while and am not up on all the features anymore.
But the point is that after I made my last move (when my opponent was not on vacation) I didn't expect to have to check in to the site again to find out what was going on. All I knew was that the response seemed to be a long time coming. Eventually I did check in and found out what was happening.
It would be a really nice feature, I think, if an email could be sent to the opponents when a player 'disappears' on vacation.
