to understand and convert celcius to farenheit simply double the celcius and add 30, this will not be perfect but will be close.... an example 20 degrees celcius x 2 = 40 + 30 = 70 degrees farenheit

Your newspaper is completely wrong. The highest temperature ever recorded in the USA is 134F/57C (Death Valley, 1913). El Azizia, Libya, hit 136F/58C in September 1922. Perhaps it was the highest temperature recorded this year or something like that?
