If I want to improve my game and my elo on queenalice is 1850~. How much elo my opponent should have?

The usual recommendation is to play people about 100 points ahead of you, maybe a little more. But make sure you also play some games against weaker players so you get practice at winning from won positions!

Also, practice lots of tactics.

IMO I would say a 1850 player should aim to play around 1600-2100.

by playing people with a wider range of ratings you can ensure that your rating is an accurate reflection of your playing strength.

and also understanding why you lost to a 1600 is just as important as understanding why you lost to a 2100 -- i think the mistake many players make is that they simply brush off defeats like that, they say something like "well if i didn't blunder i would of won" or simply blame the duboius choice of opening (in which case, why did you deliberatly disrecpect your openant by playing a rubbish opening in the first place?)

Better off to spend time studying. 10 hours of study for each 2 hours of play. You might also want to consider a spellchecker

No ... I think these proportions are wrong. But when you do study, concentrate on the games you lose, plus bad positions where you got lucky, and try to learn to annotate your games as in chess magazines. Again, think about candidate moves, not just one or two long variations.
