At present I can not sign up in any tournaments. Is there a limit on how many I can play in?

With a rating of 1743 you can only go in auto-open & auto-adv tournaments. As said by Gil, the number of tournament you can play is limitless.

Hum... Scratch the last one. I just realized the new rule that you can't register in open tournament with more than 50 games in progress.

Please clarify. Does every (in progress)game count toward the 50 game rule. Does all tournament games but not private games count toward the 50 games. Or is it that only games in open tournaments count toward 50 games excludidng me from an open tournament.
Would I be barred from a championship becuase I have more than 50 games. When will the next championship occur.
Has anyone consider the possibility that entering a tournament might mean more to someone than there rating. One might lose quickly in order to qualify. That would adversly affect rating integrity.
Is the a way to read the QueenAlice rule book?
Does Miguel solicit opinions from users when contemplating rule changes?

The 50 game rule is under testing now, it is there to prevent a small number of players (< 1%) to abuse the system by playing several hundreds of games.
The count is based on all games.

That,s correct Miguel,,I saw and played against players with over 800-900 games. That,s ridiculous! But should the limit go straight-away down to 50 open games? I myself have always around 100 games open and answer each player daily. Now getting into 2nd. and 3rd rounds, every week I get as much games as I finished. What means, it will take me several month,s before I can subscribe for a new tournamant,,which is very hard for a serious player.
