I am playing an Italian with a rating of over 2200. who is not resigning a hopeless lost game.
I have 2 Rooks, 2 passed pawns pawns (at a7 and b6) about to Queen and the Italian has only a R.
Believe it or not this Italian continues to play.

The italians are hard devels that have the fight in theyr blood...You just checkmate him at the end and then it is over!

Check out if he is from Calabria. If that is the case, it is better you resign and apologize.

Maw, diddums. It'll be so, so difficult for you to force the checkmate there. Personally, I'd much rather play somebody who didn't resign than play somebody who would air his private disagreements in a public forum.

I believe that it is impolite not to resign. We should all agree that if you know how to win your opponents position and there is little doubt that he knows you should resign. Mr. Kirkland has provided me with several opportunties to prove that I am not a hypocrite. I have yet to probe his criteria for resigning.
I propose that it should be possible to submit a game with a 9 point material advantage to fritz. If after an hour analysis fritz agrees that someone is winning by a queen they should be allowed to finish the game against fritz. That would assure quick replies by your opponent

So do I. But it is also impolite to air private disagreements in public.
