Topic: Is it honable to never lose on time?

I have completed over 100 games with no loses due to time expiring. This has been a pemenant goal of mine. However, I am in a swiss tournament. If I lose my first round game I wish to withdraw. I dont want one of my fifty games invested in a tournament I am unlikely to win. It seems the only way to withdraw is to lose on time. I would prefer to risign a hopless position but then I'll have to play the next round.
I request feedback on losing due to time expiring.

It is honorable when you have a winning game. It is not honorable when you have a hopeless game.

Gil how would I request a bye for a QueenAlice tournament?
Razoman - I am not sure I understand your reply. When I have a hopelss position I resign. However, It seems that the only way to withdraw from a QueenAlice event is to lose on time. That can be achieved by not making a move for a week. One could also ask ones oppponent to claim the win on time at their earliest convienence.

Doran, if you want to get out of a tournament quickly, why lose on time when you can just resign?

It's a Swiss system tournament so, if he resigns, he goes through to the next round anyway.
But this is all unnecessary. Suppose he has fifty games in progress (which he doesn't; currently, he has only forty-five). As soon as he finishes one of those games, by any means, he has only forty-nine in progress so can enter another tournament. Even within the Swiss tournament, unless doran's game is close to the last to finish, the next round is unlikely to start the instant his game ends.
