I'm not sure I can. All I know was told to me by a FICS admin (freechess.org), as they have this system there. But also I cant find explanations in their help files.
What I was told is that the pairings inside a score group is made by near ratings, not like pure-swiss where the most distant ratings are paired.
If I find a link somewhere I post here.
Cheers, Beco.

In this site the pairings in a score group are completely random.

Thanks Miguel for clarifying.
About the dinamo system, I fould the help file where it should be an explanation. But the file is not updated.
You type at FICS console the command:
td help t_style
And you will see explanations about some styles in general, but unfortunately not about dinamo.
Cheers, Beco.

I think USCF swiss pairing rules are best. However, when something is free it is better to say thankyou than complain. If Miguel was to invite me to improve the sub routine that does pairings I would decline. I have experimented with alternate forms of tournaments. For example predict current round results and pair next round allows players a longer break for lunch but creates irregular pairings. I am curious what dinamo pairings are?

Dinamo is called "accelerated swiss system". The main difference is the first round:
* Pair the players as it was common swiss system. * SUPPOSE the highest players winning the game. * Pair the second round, using the results above. * Erase score data. :) (score and tie-breaks, everything). * Use the 'second' round as it was the first one. * After that, it's common swiss again. :)
