I agree with you when asked why Gary Kasparov involved with politics. I also do not like politics. But, if he wished, that is a his personal decision. Why not? Arnold Schwarzenegger is governor.

I think as it has been told that Kasparov is bad politican. Everything that he have done in that is failure and of course also his chess politics.But he have so much big ego that nothing can satisficted him. Everything about his planned arrest is joke and he gets no vote fore that
