Just imagigine if Kramnik and Topalov won theirs respective matchs

On the FIDE congres last december in Singapore, is already decided about the system for the
World Championship Match of 2010.
The Winner of the World Cup 2008 plays a match against the Winner of the Grand Prix 2008/2009 in a 8 game match.
The Winner of this match challenges the 2009 World Champion.
The Grand Prix is a new tournament. It consist of six single round robin tournaments with 14 player. The players who will take part will compete at 4 of the 6 tournaments. In total 21 players will take part. The tournaments are going to be held in 2008; Baku (Azerbeidzjan), Krasnoyarsk (Russia) and Doha (Quatar), and in 2009; Montreux (Switzerland), Elista (Russia) and Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic). Reserve cities are Istanbul (Turkey) and Teheran (Iran)

FIDE Presidential invitation
The Fide president will nominate 1 player from the top 40 list as shown above. The president will invite another player, if one of the first four don`t wish to take part. This players has to be in the Top 40 as well, but has to come from another country as the first nominated one.
One invitation by each host city
Each host city may invite one player to take part, with a minimum rating of 2550. If the host city don´t have one, the national federation of this country, may invite their number 1 player, if this player has a rating of at least 2500.
