Hello.
What exactly means the "bank" when you choose the time control ?
It is not explained on the help page (perhaps it should be).

It means the amount of days you have as reserve in your time control.

When you play a game with X days per move and Y days "in the bank", you get X days for every move, plus a total of Y days that you can use at any time during the game.
Or, if you prefer to think about it in a different way, you have Y days to play the whole game but, for every move you make, you get an extra X days added to the clock.
