Topic: Slow play holding up a tournament

I know there have been discussions about this before; but I can't recall where they are and I'm too lazy to go trawling! 
At what point do you think it's ethical to message players asking them to try and finish a 'redundant' game quickly because the qualification issues for the next round of a tournament have been settled some weeks ago?

Yes, I'm sure you are right. It probably has to be a fairly extreme case for it to be right to intervene. In a private tournament perhaps the TD could take action (in the sense of dropping a hint) but otherwise we probably just have to be patient.
