At the top of the Open Games list, perucona has two challenges to players with a rating from 1-600. Of course she has every right to do so, but it may take a very long time before this challenge can be met. The lowest rating on the member list, as I write this, is 932.
Maybe someone could tell perucona this? I would, but my Portuguese is limited to "nao falou".

You have forgotten the people with provisional rating!

Perhaps open challenges that are not accepted within a certain period of time should be automatically cancelled?

As an unrated player, I could not sign up for open games with a rating limit, even 1-600. If an unrated player loses the first game, he/she gets 1100p. That's still a long way from 600!

Your suggestion seems to have merit. Maybe it already works that way? Perucona's two BANDEIARNTES challenges have been up for slightly over two months. Given that the general mentality of this site seems: give people a fair deal and let's just all have fun, an open game may stay up for three, even four months before heading for the Great Recycle Bin. Don't ask me!
