In the 1+ year of life of QueenAlice.com I had only 3 or 4 banned players, so this is a very uncommon thing to happen.
There is one more case in which games can be canceled that I haven't mentioned here, which is when a game is abandoned by one of the players. The clock on those games expire, and the other player doesn't claim or delete the game in the next 30 days after the expiration the system will set the game to canceled.
I will look into sending out an email that tells the cause of cancelation.
