Hi,
We can download our own games (either ongoing or finished), and other people's finished games, but not other people's ongoing games. (On top of that, I'd add that we can't download other people's games other than by clicking the download 25 finished games thingy button at the bottom of their games page).
I suspect there is a reason for that (since it's been developed that way), but I'm just curious as to "why" (see, I wanted to download one of my buddies' games because I wanted to get a computer evaluation of a prior position (i.e. not the one given by the FEN at the bottom), and it would have been faster to just download the game rather than either reproduce the position or reproduce the whole game up to where I want to see).
Just curious... Philippe.

Hey Philippe,
I have the same request and the same question. I just posted on the "feature request" section. I see that you have gotten no answer. I wonder why that is.

I don't know how all chess database programs work but the one I use allows you to copy and import the text into it. I would assume most other programs would allow that too. So you could copy the move order at the bottom of the game, import it and analyze away.
You don't get the headers but those could be filled in manually if needed. Not as convenient as a download but workable.
