Hello to everybody, i was wondering if the games on this site are checked for possible computer cheating. I've for example noted that some guy played nearly 300 games without losing a single one which is quite absurd, not even Anand or Kramnik could ever dream of making such a string of undefeated games.

It seems more our less our own responsibility as members to report such cases to miguel, the owner, administrator, and sole authority on this site. He will then investigate and, in cases like you mentioned, make short work of the blighter!

One might ask how a 1300 player manages to draw with a 2700 player - twice

Well, I've been playing in another chess site, and they have a "serv engine" that detect any sequence move suspect.

If some players use chess engines, there is no point in playing as they would not learn anything. So, by playing with the help of chess engines, players don't gain anything and are simply wasting their time. A sensible player would play according to his own talent and would thus gradually improve himself. If someone uses engines just to get their rating up or something, it is totally pointless.

Why does it mather you so much whether a player cheat or not ? If a player cheats he will get the top of the rank very fast. It is not my case.. then for those in the top it will be computer against computer
