You know, what's are very good books? Darwin's Descent of Man and The Origin of the Species. The things expounded in these tomes have infinitely greater explanatory power, capable of being falsified and hence will lead to being modified to accommodate further truths. The Bible, of course, is wonderful literature. I like Ruth, being the shortest book.

I take a more future view of this book. I do not believe at all, that any of the said events have occured. The book of revelation gives us a brief outline of major events of that terrible period of the outpouring of the wrath of God. Two thousand years of relative silence and gracious dealings may have made us insensitive to the holiness, wrath, and justice of God. A through understanding of the Old Testament is the only clear way to understand this book, that is one of the reasons that many do not understand, or try to fit the verses into some preconceived notion of history. I take it as God has caused it to be written, and if one takes it that way then none of the events have happened. For example in chapter 9 verses 13-21, we read of one third of the population destoyed, or chapter 13, (13:16-18), the mark is required to trade. These are only a couple of examples, and neither can be shown in history to have happened as of yet.

Thank you to all who have responded to this forum, particularly Gill and chesspool.I am currently rereading the book of Daniel and the book of revelation so as to be sure of the facts before responding,so please be patient.
I hope to open a forum concerning America and Bible prophecy soon, but I will say this for now, events are unfolding for a reunification of church and state.America was founded upon those fleeing the persecution,of Romes influence throughout europe.Yet America now wants to embrace Rome like a long lost brother. When Romes power is fully restored, look out!

No need to thank me.

You're all invited to pop along to my Odd thread and leave a pearl of wisdom. Or a pile of poo. It's entirely up to you. Please try not to sob if you don't understand it. That's life.

I'd rather chat than pray today.

SirKnight,

Your forum incompetence is an inspiration to botched lobotomy patients everywhere. Clearly, you spend way too much time in darkened rooms in front of your seven-year-old computer turning a whiter shade of pale. Go outside once in a while and breathe, before your brain starts to rot from all that festering stagnation and cognitive dysfunction.

I suppose I should have some sympathy for your handicap. You are obviously paralyzed from the neck up. I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself on the Internet. Reading your post makes blindness a wonderful thing to look forward to. As Ellen Glasgow once remarked: "He knows so little and knows it so fluently."

What possessed you to think that you were capable of being entertaining or interesting to read? I'd get more pleasure from running my nostrils down a cactus, than reading another contribution from you. Maybe you wouldn't come across as such a jellyfish-sucking mental midget if you didn't have that botched back street lobotomy that left you that crisscrossed shoelace scar on your forehead; if your weren't so fat that your clothes come in three sizes: Extra Large, Jumbo, and Oh-My-God-It's-Coming-Towards-Us!, or if you weren't uglier than the north-facing end of a south-bound mule. Nah, of course you would.

To sum up: I'd rather pass the world's largest kidney stone than read another post from you.

Microcephalec.
