Rybka 3 showed no advantage at the beginning. I played it with another chess engine crafty, and crafty did give a pawn advantage, and in both games, Rybka as white, and Rybka as black won both times. Rybka as white took more moves 61 verses 43 when playing black.

Hmmm, wait... you had Rybka play against itself or against Crafty ?
Because really, if it played against Crafty, this doesn't mean anything. You have to control for the strength of both players.

It was Rybka against Crafty, and played Rybka as white one game, and Crafty as black as one game. Both games Rybka won, but as you said it doesn't mean anything since Rybka is the stronger engine than the two. The time was 5 min games
